An ergonomic screen setup is arranging your monitor or laptop so it supports healthy posture, reduces strain, and lets you work comfortably for longer. Key elements are screen height, distance, angle, and the relationship between screen position and your keyboard and chair. Ideally the top of the screen sits about 15 to 20 degrees below eye level so your gaze falls slightly downward, and the screen is roughly an armโ€™s length away (about 20 to 30 inches) so you donโ€™t lean forward. Tilt and swivel the screen to reduce glare from windows or lights, and position multiple screens so the main one is centered in front of you; keep secondary screens close to avoid excessive head turning. Place your keyboard and mouse so your elbows are near your sides and wrists are neutral, and make sure your chair supports your lower back so the spine stays aligned. Adjust text size, contrast, and brightness so you donโ€™t have to squint, and use a document holder if you work with papers. Good lighting and anti-glare measures reduce eye discomfort and make it easier to keep a relaxed posture. A well-set workspace helps prevent neck and shoulder pain, reduces eye strain, and improves focus and productivity.
